The story of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz is a historical love tale from the Mughal era, centered around their deep bond and the creation of the Taj Mahal. Mumtaz Mahal, was the beloved wife of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. She became his most cherished companion, despite him having other wives. Mumtaz accompanied Shah Jahan on his military campaigns and gave birth to 14 children. In 1631, Mumtaz died while giving birth to their 14th child during a campaign in Burhanpur. Devastated by her death, Shah Jahan decided to build the Taj Mahal, a magnificent white marble mausoleum, in her memory. It took 22 years to complete and remains one of the most famous symbols of love in the world. Shah Jahan was later buried beside Mumtaz Mahal in the Taj Mahal after his death in 1666, symbolizing their eternal bond.
